I find myself drawn to discarded objects. Whether it’s scrap metal, found materials, or heirlooms left behind by loved ones; these objects–artifacts–carry a history; an identity. A narrative that encompasses one’s memories and remnants of their soul. And with these objects and materials, I am not only using them–I venerate them.
